Overview
Joby Aviation, under a six-year exclusive agreement with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Skyports Infrastructure, is building Dubai's initial commercial air taxi network. The anchor vertiport at Dubai International Airport (DXV/DXB) reached technical completion in April 2026, becoming the first of four Dubai vertiports to hit that milestone; initial operations are targeted before the end of 2026. The 3,100-square-meter facility includes two eVTOL takeoff/landing areas and Joby's Global Electric Aviation Charging System. In November 2025, Joby confirmed additional network sites at Dubai Mall, Atlantis The Royal, and the American University of Dubai, and completed a 17-minute piloted point-to-point flight from Margham to Al Maktoum International Airport.
