Overview
A May 2024 MoU with RAKTA, RAKTDA, and Skyports targeted Ras Al Khaimah's first eVTOL air taxi ecosystem by 2027. In September 2025, RAKTA, Joby and Skyports announced a long-term collaboration for a passenger air taxi service network by 2027, including an inter-emirate corridor connecting Joby's planned Dubai service with RAK destinations such as Al Marjan Island and Jebel Jais. In November 2025, RAKTA and Skyports signed a framework agreement to advance vertiport network development, making this one of the UAE's more credible non-Dubai deployments.
